Kent you were a great boss and friend. You were an interesting person. As my boss you were always willing to teach me things. You had such patience an enthusiasm. You put up with and celebrated my quirkiness, and helped me to become not only a better employee but also a better person. I also admired that you always had your interests, hobbies and passions. I wish I had a chance to tell you this and more before you paased. I know the people in your life will miss you greatly. I also know you're absence at work is significant. Because you were loved and knowledgeable. You cared about things and people. And we will miss you Kent.

Oh my gosh Kent, I can't believe you are gone! When I heard the news of your passing, I felt as if someone just knocked the wind out of me. I immediately started thinking of all the lunchtime walks on the bike trail behind the plant. When we first met I was looking for smoke bombs to test my theory out on our old incinerator. You started smiling right away and said you wanted to light it. You got to light the smoke bomb, my theory was correct, and that was the start of our friendship. You were always a great conversationalist and loved to laugh out loud. No matter how our days were going we would always end up laughing about something. How many guns and ammo conversations did we have over the years, yet we never got to go shooting together. As with the last couple of years since I left Aprilaire, I will miss you my friend, but now even more.

Kent gave me a chance and helped me grow as an engineer in the 10+ years as my boss. Kind, understanding, smart, funny... Everything except being a Vikings fan! I'll miss you, Kent. RIP.
