Werner you were such an uplifting person to be around. I only knew you for a short time after retirement. I always looked forward to seeing you with your smile. You brought a smile to my face when I saw you come into a room. I always wanted to be your partner when playing cards. You helped me win many games. Helping others was such a big part of your life. I asked if you could be a backup for a medical appointment I had, and there was no hesitation, on your part, to help if needed. I loved to hear you talk about how much you enjoyed spending time with your family. You have no idea how much you will be missed.

It always stood out to me with Uncle Werner how he always seemed to have a big smile on his face. A wonderful sense of humor, he always made people laugh. I remember how much my Dad always loved teasing and joking around with Werner. I know Dad always enjoyed those times so very much. I will always remember that big smile, he will be dearly missed!
