Lois Carol Schmidt

We are deeply sorry for your loss ~ Gunderson-Camacho Funeral Home – Mt. Horeb

I met Lois when we were newly located in Mt Horeb around the same time - 2011. She started a Newcomers group (I believe I spotted her ad to gather at Sjolinds in the Mt Horeb Mail), and I decided to attend. She was warm and friendly, and after several meetings for coffee and scones, she invited the group to her home for breakfast! Although Newcomers group faded away, Lois and I continued to see each other regularly though common interests - volunteering for the historical society museum and later, the Historium, garden club membership and working together at the Troll Garden, library programs and book club, and more. Lois was a wonderful person and gave a lot to the Mt Horeb community, starting with that first effort back in 2011 that meant so much to me, bringing new people together!
