Obituary
MOUNT HOREB - David Lloyd Rosol, age 76, of Mount Horeb, passed away on Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, at UW Hospital surrounded by family. He was born on May 23, 1947, in Richland Center, the son of Lloyd and Julia (Levy) Rosol. He married Sharon (Vallem) Rosol on May 24, 1980, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Richland Center.
David graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1965. He earned his two-year degree in welding from MATC in 1967. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1969 during the Vietnam War. David worked for the State of Wisconsin as an AG Supervisor at the West Madison Agricultural Research Station from 1995 until he retired in 2022. He enjoyed hunting, car races, farming, playing cards, auctions, checkers and being outdoors.
David is survived by his wife, Sharon Rosol; daughter, Melissa (Brian) Hahn, and granddaughters, Victoria and Naomi; daughter, Sara (Bob Lowe) Rosol, and grandsons, Rylan and Anders; sister, Jane (Ken) Deckert; three sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Julia Rosol; and aunts, Ramona Lingevitch, Evelyn Peterson and Elsie McWilliams.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 401 S. Owen Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023, with Father Brian Wilk presiding. Burial will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens, followed by a luncheon at the church. Visitation will be held at Gunderson Camacho Mount Horeb Funeral and Cremation Care, 500 N. Eighth St., Mount Horeb, from 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2023, and at church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass on Thursday.
