Obituary
MADISON - Andree Lee “Andy” McCoy, age 83, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at UW Hospital and Clinics. He was born on June 11, 1943, in Canton, Ohio, the son of Roy and Frances (Ackerman) McCoy.
Following his high school graduation, Andy proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He married Connie Jo Revis on July 4, 1969, in Las Vegas, Nev., and together they created many lasting memories.
Andy never met a stranger and made friends wherever he went. Throughout his career, he worked in building maintenance and repair, earning a reputation as someone who could fix just about anything. He worked for High Point Woods Apartments as a maintenance technician and later continued sharing his skills while working at Menards in Monona. His dedication and hard work were evident in everything he did.
Andy is survived by his sister, Cheryl (Henry) Mowrey; nephews, Gerald (Debbie) McCoy, Donald (Billie) Bebout; nieces, Carol Wilson, Kathy (David) Donahue, Diana (Bruce) Orman, Theresa (Brian) Tincture and Traci (Mark) Reidenbach; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Andy had many close friends, especially Geri Zingg and Geri's children, Jessica Zingg, Joshua West and Jacklyn West; and Geri's grandchildren, Aah'Zaylia, Emmie, Pippy, Khaza, Murphy and Maeve. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Frances McCoy; wife, Connie; and brother, Raymond McCoy.
