Helen Marie Martinson

Helen was such a bright and loving person. Her After School Reading Club launched our oldest son’s confidence in reading when we first moved to Mt Horeb. Whenever we would see her around town, she asked how our sons were doing. She was thrilled to hear our son became an electrical engineer & how she impacted his life. Oh how excited she would be to know he was accepted for graduate school in Norway this year! She not only supported his learning but also his soul. Her efforts, love of children, family, God & community left a huge imprint. Thank you, Helen. May you be at peace.

Helen was a friend to so many people. She reached out to many and helped them feel at home in the congregation and community. She shared her talents with all of us. I feel privileged to call her a friend of 40 years. She will be missed.

I'm so thankful to have known Helen and Willis while they lived at the Waterford in Firchburg. I looked forward to interacting with Helen at the monthly Lutheran communion service that I helped lead. I could count on her to sing out and offer prayer requests for others. I have missed her since she moved back to Mount Horeb and just today learned of her going "home". May Our Father comfort your hearts and grant you peace and joy in Jesus. Helen's faith and love for others has always been very evident. Becky Levy
