So sorry for your guys’ loss. He was a great guy and I always enjoyed running into him when I was back in town (& back when I was in school). Rest in peace and glad you two are back together again

Tommy, I have so many memories flooding my heart. Walking with our Grandpa Kalsow over the hill to the cornfield. Your hand in one hand, mine in the other. The closer we got the cornfield, the more frightened I became. He just stopped and looked at the cornfield and looked at us and said, "Now who would burn the cornfield down?" We never tried to roast marshmallows in the cornfield again. I remember the night beautiful April passed and we sat outside on the rock wall for the rest of the night just talking as we had never talked before. Playing outside and having races in the gravel driveway in Mom's high heels. I am so blessed that I was able to see you, talk to you, hug you and kiss you the day I arrived in Wisconsin. You will always and forever be not only in my heart, but the hearts of your family and friends. Special hugs and love to his children, Marie Kalsow Kennedy and Josh Kalsow and your beautiful families. Never forget to tell each other you love them. Aunt Susie

So sorry to hear of Tom’s passing. I was very very fortunate to have crossed paths since I work at Straka Meats and we bonded over the past 5 years of him bringing venison in. We were the lucky ones since he shared his baked goods such as his cinnamon rolls and Oatmeal Butterscotch cookies. They were always fresh and sometimes even warm since he knew what time we took our breaks. His sense of humor and his smile will be missed. May you all keep your memories close to your hearts. Heartfelt Condolences, Melissa

Our hearts and prayers are with the Kalsow and Kennedy families, especially Tom’s 7 grandchildren who he adored. I met my husband’s Uncle Tom before I met my husband. He and his wife April rented a two room apartment from my parents. For 40+ years I lived within a mile of Tom. He always lended a helping hand and was our ‘neighborhood watch’. I have two favorite memories. 1. In the fall Tom would regularly pick a bucket of hickory nuts and deliver them to my Mom who would crack, pick, and freeze them. Mom always paid him back with peppernuts at the holidays. Another One of my absolute favorite memories was walking into Tom’s kitchen when my son was 4 and seeing them both with Aprons on baking homemade cinnamon rolls. Tom was so patient with every task and we are thankful for his generosity over the years. Mike and I send our deepest sympathies to Josh, Marie, their families and Tom’s siblings. We love you all.

This is too sad. Tom always had the time to talk and ask how everything was going 'on the hill'. Good man indeed.
