MOUNT HOREB - Dorothy Lucile Johnson, age 92, of Mount Horeb, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022, at Ingleside Manor. She was born on Nov. 10, 1929, in Mount Horeb, the daughter of Lawrence and Agnes (Field) Anderson.
Dorothy graduated from Mount Horeb High School in 1947 and attended UW-Madison for one year. She married John Johnson, the love of her life, on Jan. 12, 1958. They met at the cabin in Shell Lake, where many years of memories were made and continue to be made. Dorothy worked as an X-ray technician for UW Hospital. She loved to garden and cross stitch in her younger years.
Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Barbara (Steven) Conrad and Kari (Daniel) Hustad; grandchildren, Andy Conrad, Kelsey Conrad and Katie Mater (Kevin); and brother, John (Cathy) Anderson. She was preceded in death by husband, John Harold Johnson, on Dec. 14, 1971.
A funeral service will be held at Gunderson Camacho Mount Horeb Funeral and Cremation Care, 500 N. Eighth St., Mount Horeb, at 12 noon on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022. Burial will be held at Union Cemetery, Mount Horeb. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
