MOUNT HOREB - Marvin Glenn Kelly, age 95, of Mount Horeb, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020, at Ingleside Manor. He was born on April 10, 1925, in rural Barneveld, the son of Louis and Mabel (Doescher) Kelly.
Marvin was united in marriage to Dorothy Urfer on Sept. 9, 1950. Together they farmed for 26 years in the Blue Mounds area before moving to Mount Horeb in 1987. Marvin farmed his entire life and enjoyed simply being outdoors and being with his family. He had horses and kept busy in his retirement restoring lawn tractors.
Marvin is survived by three sons, Jack (Bonnie Herfel) Kelly, Jerry (Sharon) Kelly, Jeffrey (Florence) Kelly; daughter, Julie (Dale) Munson; six grandchildren, Todd (Becky) Kelly, Tonia (Tim) Dutton, Rebecca (Mike) Turner, Elijah (Tracy) Kelly, Kelton Kelly and Dale Munson; 13 great-grandchildren, Lydia and Dylan Kelly, Noah and Lily Dutton, Sidney Turner, and Ethan, Dustin, Milaca, Enoch, Elana, Kalita, Adaya and Jocida Kelly; sister, Lilas Miller; and three sisters-in-law, Katie Kelly, Elaine (LeRoy) Longseth and Theresa (Bernie) Dressler.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; parents; five brothers, LeRoy (Annie) Kelly, Lester (Jean) Kelly, Willard (Leona) Kelly, Ellard Kelly and Vernon (Mildred) Kelly; two sisters, Evelyn (Virgil) Jabs and Lillian (Robert) Theobald; and brother-in-law, Harvey Urfer.
A private service will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020.
