Obituary

MONTICELLO - Anthony Eugene Hefty, age 70, of Monticello, Wis., passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025, at home. He was born on June 3, 1955, at St. Clare Hospital in Monroe, Wis., to Eugene and Jean Hefty. He was the second oldest of seven children.


Anthony helped his dad on the farm and worked several places and graduated from the U.S. Army National Guard in Automotive Repair. He loved his Mustang cars and liked taking pictures of landscapes and scenery on his trips.


Anthony is survived by his six siblings: two brothers, Dan (Jenny) and David (Debbie), and four sisters, Kathy (Bob) Zantow, Anne (Phil) Sieber, Peggy (Don) Becker and Lorie (Shaun) Schaalma; nieces, nephews, great-nephews and great-nieces; and his stepmother, Sadie, and her family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.


He was preceded in death by his parents.


A graveside service will be held in the chapel at SUNSET MEMORY GARDENS, 7302 Mineral Point Road, Madison, at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 12, 2025.
