Obituary
DEFOREST- Lynne Elva Nale, age 76, of DeForest, passed away on Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, at home. She was born on Aug. 13, 1942, in Tacoma, Wash., the daughter of Edwin and Helen (Oman) Hutchens. She married Larry Nale on July 21, 1962, in Tacoma. Lynne worked as a bookkeeper for American Family Insurance where she retired, and then continued working for DeForest area schools. She enjoyed volunteering at the community center, and helped at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Sun Prairie. Lynne enjoyed crafting and sewing, baking and cooking, gardening, camping, and loved watching Green Bay Packers games. She was active in the Honda Goldwing club, and used to be a Sunday school teacher at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church. Lynne loved to share stories with families and friends, and enjoyed family holidays, Christmas Eve being her favorite. Above all, she adored her family, especially her grandchildren, never missing their birthday parties, and her canine companion Gretchen. Lynne is survived by her children, Steve (Tina) Nale, Sharon (Devin) Wells, and Stuart (Terri) Nale; grandchildren, Zachary (Lisa), Courtney, Tyler, Nathan, Samantha (James) Neleson, Garrett, and Ryan; sister, Joanne (Ron) Siler; and great-grandchild, Ellia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Ernest Nale; and her parents. A Celebration of Lynne's life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, with the Rev. Tim Hansen presiding. A luncheon will immediately follow after the service. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from12 noon until the time of the service on Wednesday. I will never forget you Lynn! You were one the of the sweetest people I have ever met. You were so creative. All the special dinners and lunches we had at your home. The creative planing, we never knew what you & Larry were going to come up with next. I will never forget you. I know how much Larry meant to you and you are now with him. R.I.P My friend.

Our paths crossed when we both worked at Yost's on State Street. She was a very pleasant individual and always I remember her pleasant personality. She was a special person then and I'm sure it carried through with family and friends.

I am Aunt Lynne’s niece, Julie Hansen. I am the daughter of her only sibling, Jo Anne.. I of course met Aunt Lynne when I was a child, but don’t have much memory of that. Meeting Aunt Lynne again when I was 16 was so much fun. We stayed at her home.. we talked and talked and went shopping at the mall. I just loved her giant collection of blue cobalt pieces, and how the sunlight would shine through them every afternoon. I was fortunate enough to visit her again in my 20’s, when she took us all to the ‘House on the Rock’. I was beyond fascinated by the whole thing and enjoyed it tremendously. I even bought a beautiful giant castle there— back then the airline even let me carry it on. I giggle at another time we were there, where there were these 3-foot high metal ‘men’ covered in shining armor.. yet again, the airline let this strange-looking metal man onto the plane with us. Would never happens nowadays 😀 Aunt Lynne and Uncle Larry had visisted all of us a few times here in Phoenix- once or twice making their whole trip on their motorcycle. We took them to an old western town where Lynne proceeded to freak out about getting on a stage coach for a little ride in the desert 😀 We also we’re fortunate enough to go with her and other family members for a week-long dream trip to Disney Orlando. We stayed in this ‘treehouse’ hotel and had a blast. Last time I saw Aunt Lynne was when her and Larry came here to Phoenix, and we enjoyed some baseball Spring Training games under the sun, and going out to dinner for tasty shrimp. Aunt Lynne— I will miss you so much. I will miss seeing you, miss your voice, miss your beautiful Christmas cards each year- miss YOU. You are my Mother’s only sibling, and I love you. God Bless you Aunt Lynne, and Rest In Peace with God. We will all see you again.
