Judy, I miss you. You worked at the UW for a long time though your favorite work may have been the almost 20 years working with children with disabilities Wisconsin’s Central Center, as you spoke of it often and never missed the chance to say hello to any baby or child. You spoke often too of your loving brother Bobby, your nieces Beth and Kristy, and your sister-in-law Diana. You loved going with them to big family gatherings in Dodgeville to be with all your aunts, uncles and cousins. The only thing that could make you give up a card game with your girlfriends was to attend a volleyball game with Beth, Kristy and their friends, and you looked at their friends as your friends, and it was always true that you accepted as your friend, anyone whom your loved ones accepted. From looking at pictures, it appears in you joined the Red Hat group, Gingersnaps, in 2010, which is where I met you. I don’t remember the date, but I remember the occasion well. it was at a summer picnic in Middleton. There were about 100 ladies attending and here you were, this little sparkly eyed lady introducing herself as being interested in joining the group, and you did. We had a lot of fun being all together in that group and the Laugh A Lot Ladies. I remember how you loved playing cards, going shopping, good coffee, angels, your dog Sophie, and you were always willing to go on any road trip. I remember your kindness, and your unfaltering loyalty and generosity. I remember how your eyes sparkled, that you had an easy and ready smile for everyone, and I remember that although you were shorter than I, you offered to reach things for me. I remember what you wanted more than anything was to love and be loved in return. I remember you, love you, and I miss you. Ellen

So sorry and shocked to hear about Judy. I was in the same Red Hat group with her and enjoyed her company. I will include her and her family in my prayers.

I will always remember you as our paths crossed in several ways. First was Red Hatting. Fun it was at the pajama weekends. Then it was playing euchre in Middleton. The pot lucks were always good as were the cards sometimes. And last was ushering at the Middleton Performing Arts Center. You were always dependable and cheerful with our patrons. I will miss you being there in a couple weeks. May you rest in peace.

Worked with Judy in Accounting Services and she always had a smile and a kind word. I was shocked to hear of her passing! I will be missed by all who knew her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time!
