I got to dance in Carol’s work and with her with Kanopy years ago. She was a lovely woman and a joy to work with. My deepest condolences to her family.

Two of Carol's sisters were my aunts (long story), so I always considered Carol an aunt, as well. She had such grace and talent, and a great outlook on life. She will be missed.

Carol has been a part of my dance life forever... from dancing at the Unitarian Society... and the all these years with Kanopy Dance Company. She choreographed for us, came to shows, supported Kanopy Dance every year w donations, reviewed our shows (privately) and more. She was my rock when I was 'tired' in fighting the fight to keep dance growing and thriving... I love her so very much. Lisa Thurrell

Carol was my step-mom since 1991 and though our busy lives kept us from getting to know each other as well as we should have, I learned what a sweet, kind, unique lady she was, and always up for a good joke (I still have the book of Norwegian Ole & Lena Jokes she gave me). And she loved the pictures and videos of my granddaughter Bailey, who has been dancing ballet, jazz, tap and hip hop since she was 3 (now 13). Thank you Carol for taking care of my Dad the last 10 years of his life, I heard often about your travels, and you gave me the videos and pictures he took on those trips.

Carol was a wonderful woman. I was always impressed by her gracious, gentle, intelligent temperament.
Carol danced with passion and true grace.
I served on the Wisconsin Dance Council with Carol. We shared the love of dance for many years together.
The dance world loses a significant part of its history with Carol's passing.
My sympathy to all of Carol's friends and family.
