Obituary
MADISON-Sara Rose Jackson, age 32, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at her home. She was born on February 2, 1986, in Madison, WI, the daughter of Gail (Thornberg) Jackson and Duane Jackson. Sara lived in Madison with the love of her life, Chris Graf. Sara and Chris first met nearly 20 years ago participating in Acceleration of Madison and were inseparable ever since.
Sara graduated from Madison West High School in 2004 and attended MATC. She worked in Human Resources for UW Hospitals and Clinics. Sara enjoyed spending time with family and friends, her job and her co-workers, drawing and crafting, and all things colorful and sparkly. She will be remembered for her caring heart, her huge hugs, and her infectious laugh. She will be deeply missed by her family, her friends, and all those who knew her.
Sara is survived by her husband, Chris Graf; her parents, Gail Jackson and Duane Jackson; her parents-in-law, Pete and Barb Graf; her sister, Anna (Daniel Eng) Jackson; her sister-in-law, Sara Graf; and her nieces and nephew, Audrey Eng, Maren Masters, and Viggo Masters; along with many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Joan Thornberg; and her paternal grandparents, Einar and Lila Jackson.
A memorial gathering will be held at GUNDERSON WEST, 7435 University Ave, Middleton, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Sunday, August 5, 2018. This is a casual gathering and you are encouraged to wear bright colors and sparkles or glitter in honor of Sara and her vibrant personality. I worked with Sara at UW Health and enjoyed her very warm, unique and sunny personality. She always gave everything her all and made work an even more fun place to be. I will miss her beautiful, smiling face and pray for comfort and strength for those who knew and loved her.
