JoAn and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Joe was loved by so many. I have so many fond memories of him at church. He was a wonderful Sunday school teacher and made the Old Testament come alive for us. I'll never forget how upset I was (over 40 years ago) when we found out my nephew had PKU and Joe took the time to explain the science and genetics to me in a way I could understand. He was always a kind man. I'm sorry I won't be back from Chicago in time for his funeral. But you will all be in my thoughts and prayers. Much love, Mike (Aldrich) Waller

Dear JoAn , Peggy, Bob, Sandy and Families-we're all so sad at hearing of Joe"s passing. Our Family will always remember him as a wonderful neighbor, who always greeted Bill and I , the Kids and our furry family members with a joyful, positive attitude. He had knowledge about anything and everything and would gladly share this when asked any questions. He was a true Gentleman and a joy to have as our Neighbor for over 30 years! All the Fennessey"s will miss him. With sympathy and caring thoughts- Bill, Marsha, Shawn, Dustin and Bria.

To JoAn & the Horton Family:
I first met Joe 50 years ago when I was 6 years old. He made an incredible impression on me. He was one of the most brilliant, intellectual, personable person that I have met in my travels over the years and he made a deep and lasting impression upon me. I was very fortunate to have gotten to know him when I was kid. The sacrifices that you, JoAn, and Joe made for the Masonic Fraternity for all those years really has paid off on countless people over those years. I certainly did to this little kid (when I was little). May the Supreme Architect of the Universe watch over you and your family in the coming days. Matt Hughey

You played such an important role in my life ... I think of you often. Such a marvelous teacher (intro organic, advanced organic, biochem). And your wonderful, engaging personality. Thank you, Joe!
My condolences to your family.
