Obituary
MIDDELTON - Veronica Mary “Ronnie” (O’Connell) Weber, age 95, of Middleton, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, at Ingleside Manor. She was born on May 18, 1926, in Vermont Township, the daughter of David and Frances (Handel) O'Connell. She married Wayne F. Weber on June 21, 1950, at St. James Catholic Church.
Ronnie attended Edgewood College for two years and graduated from UW-Madison with a B.S. in Education. She took great pride in teaching home economics and spent the majority of her career at Middleton High School. Ronnie had a love of quilting, knitting, playing cards and going to the casino, and she could always be counted on to attend her kids’ and grandkids’ sporting events.
Ronnie is survived by her children, Dave (Debbie) Weber, Patti (Dan) Brabender, Nancy (Tim) Brown, Tom (Lori) Weber and Bob Weber; sister, Marge Reindl; sisters-in-law, Lois O’Connell and Peg O’Connell; grandchildren, Bryan (Corey) Weber Isaak, Jeff (Linzey) Weber, Matt (Lindsey), Mike (Robin) and Scott Brabender; Kristin Brown (Aaron White), Kelly Brown, Casey Weber (Aaron Richards), and Christopher Weber; great-grandchildren, Avery, Olivia and Graysen Weber, Elodie and Miles Brabender, Sophia Brabender, Kendall, Kassius, soon to arrive baby White, and William Richards; and many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne, in 2018; brothers, Ignatius, Norb, Ray and Larry O’Connell; sisters, Noreen Lucey and Cele Reindl; brothers-in-law, George Lucey, Dave Reindl and Jerry Reindl; and sister-in-law, Dorothy O’Connell.
Services will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2022, with Father Brian Wilk presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the start of the service on Tuesday.
