A really fine person, a wonderful colleague, a true professional . . .Ramona's upbeat personality and gregarious sense of humor made working with her at East High a constant pleasure. I have many, many happy memories of those days. Was she ever not smiling?

I was a new teacher at Madison East Junior High School in 1967. Ramona was a mentor, friend, and a joyful person. She collaborated with me on my efforts in the classroom. If we were studying Africa, she would get a display put together in the library for students to go into greater depth. On down days she was there to bring me back to the joy of teaching. Dawn and Dewey were also a delight to work with as students and Ramona was so very proud of them. I remember Rod with fondness as he was so supportive of Ramona. Bless the Johnson family as they are the best. Love, Mary Hilfiker
