Lenore Ann Schulz

BROOKLYN-Lenore A. Schulz, age 87, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, July 8, 2018, surrounded by her family. Lenore was born on May 10, 1931, in Madison, the daughter of Frederick and Anna (Vogt) Gunderson. She married Marvin “Mike” Schulz on May 23, 1953, at McFarland Lutheran Church. Lenore and Mike lived in Madison where she worked at Red Dot (FritoLay), and later they moved to Brooklyn. She worked in the Oregon School District in food service until she retired. Lenore enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and sewing. She also upholstered and refinished furniture. Lenore enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her granddaughter, Anna. Lenore is survived by her daughter, Pamela; granddaughter, Anna; three sisters, Lois Ophime, Elfrieda Strand and Farol Lunda; brother, Wayne Gunderson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brother, Riley Gunderson; sister, Lucille Seibert; and a nephew, Gregory Ophime. A Celebration of Lenore’s life will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1150 Park St., Oregon, at 11 a.m., on Monday, July 16, 2018, with a luncheon to follow at the funeral home. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. Mom, you were a wonderful wife, a great grandma, and the best mom anyone could ever have.
