Eldon Walter Gard

The volunteers, flight team and board of Badger Honor Flight mourn the loss of their hero, Eldon Gard. We are thankful for his military service and proud to have served him on his trip to Washington, D.C. on May 13, 2017.

Eldon and Norma have been an important part of Monona Methodist. I’d always look forward to seeing them - ever smiling and friendly and supportive. Almost every church function, they were there! It’s been odd not seeing Eldon during his illness and he has been dearly missed. I’m so sorry I’m out of town for his service. Please know that he is in my heart.

So sorry to hear about Eldon. I will really miss him in church and around the neighborhood. Prayers go out to the family. Susan Katzenmeyer

‘Smokey’ was such a kind, nice, friendly man! I loved working with him!!! Sounds like he had a long meaningful life!
