Obituary

MADISON - Susanne Audrey Waldorf, age 81, of Madison, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, July 9, 2021, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on Dec. 9, 1939, in Madison, the daughter of Gustave and Thea (Langeteig) Larson. Susanne graduated from East High School. She married Donald Waldorf on Sept. 12, 1959, in Madison. Susanne enjoyed traveling, especially trips to casinos, Las Vegas and Wisconsin Dells. She was a huge Green Bay Packers fan, and enjoyed dancing, playing cards and board games, and having lunch with friends and family. She loved her dog, Buffy, and her cat, Baby. Susanne worked in food service for East High School and was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. Susanne is survived by her three children, Elizabeth (David) Mitchell, Gregg Waldorf and Vicki (Martin) Limmex; eight grandchildren, Amy (Nathan) Venckus, Alexander Waldorf, Adriane Limmex, Zachary Limmex, Stephanie Limmex, Isaac Limmex, Vincent Limmex and Elias Limmex; five great-grandchildren, Maven Kretche, Brandon Hernandez, Kalli Venckus, Abby Venckus and Tiana Venckus; sister, Joanne Sutherland; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; brothers, Russell (Eleanor) Larson and Warren (Anna) Larson; and sisters, Leona (Gerald) Fernholz and Betty (Wayne) Lind. Graveside services will be private at Forest Hill Cemetery. Susanne’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Agrace HospiceCare for the kind and compassionate care they gave her. They would also like to thank her Senior Helper caregivers for enriching her life. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Messiah Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.
