Terry Francis Peterson

MADISON-Terry F. Peterson, age 65, of Madison, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018, at Columbia Health Care Center. He was born on Nov. 28, 1952, in Dodgeville, the son of William and Virginia (Roberts) Peterson.  Terry graduated from McFarland High School.  He served in the U.S. Army during Korean Conflict.  Terry loved "big boy toys", including his motorcycles, boats, cars and motor homes. He had a deep devout faith, reading his bible regularly. Terry enjoyed documentaries, especially those about history. He valued his friends and family most, and was a protector and provider who was always ready to lend a helping hand. Terry did everything his way, and had deeply held opinions. He had a great sense of humor. Terry is survived by his brother, Dennis (Mary) Peterson; sister, Vicki (Robert) Baker; Life Partner, Barbara Stark-Peterson; nieces, Sasha Peterson (Andrew Eltrevoog) and Brooke Baker; great-nephew, Jaden Eltrevoog; brother-in-law, Roger Stark; sister-in-law, Betty Peterson; and other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Gregory Peterson. A memorial gathering will be held at GUNDERSON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, on Friday, June 8, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. A time of food and fellowship will follow at the funeral home.
