Jim was always one of my favorite people. We camped together and rode together at state rally's. My best memory of Jim was when a group of us did a ride up to Green Bay to tour Lambeau Field. We stopped by his mom's house to say hello - a big group of "bad motorcycle bikers" pulling up. More than one neighbor came out and Jim thought it was awesome (as did his mom!). I did a lot of volunteer work with Jim for our MDA Freedom Ride and he always gave more than a 100%. One of the first there and last to leave. I will miss my friend.

I worked with Jim at American Family Insurance in Commercial Lines. A number of us would arrive early and often four of us -- Patty Ringstad, me, Jim, and Sandra Person -- would go down to the cafeteria for coffee and ice. Each morning I would annoy Jim by singing either Ring of Fire (Love . . . is s burnin' thing . . . ) or near Christmas (in honor of a tableau we would pass) In the meadow we can build a snowman. . . . I know he secretly liked it. When I would stop by his desk, he often would speak about his family in Green Bay (he had newspaper clippings hung up in his cubicle) and Judy. He was so concerned about Judy's health. Rest in peace, my friend.

Jim and Judy and I were neighbors for many years. My little grandsons were always excited to visitJim whenever they came. Jim always played with them, listened and talked to them. They were more than neighbors but real friends. Jim will be missed so by all who knew him.

Jim and I were sorta/kinda Harley buddies, though we never rode together. I always enjoyed talking about motorcycles with him and we went to the Harley museum once on a trip that produced this story: http://archive.jsonline.com/features/travel/harley-museum-and-iron-horse-hotel-help-cure-winter-blues-b99638014z1-363467371.html. Jim said he’d been to the museum at least 10 times. Rest in peace, amigo.
