Dear Betty and family. I am very glad that I had time on Sunday to spend with you and Tracy. Jim was working his way to heaven and he was prepared for the journey. Peace and blessing to you, as you know he is now in loving hands and comfort.

Betty and family, I still remember his smile and mischievous looks :). I know my parents, Ev and Eunice have many funny stories of fishing with you and Jim. One specific memory I have is actually being downstairs in his "shop". Betty, I have no idea why you had me go down there but I remember seeing Jim deep in concentration amongst about a million different computer parts. As a kid, I wondered what on earth he was doing, but still thought the guy must be a genius if he was using all that stuff to create something new and improved :). You both were such wonderful neighbors to have across the street. I remember when he helped my brother Peter negotiate a bargain price at American TV for a stereo system ;) -- did you know he did that Betty? Jim, you are now running around Heaven like a kid again. Say hello to Todd's dad Merlyn. He entered Heaven June 6.

Dear Betty, I was a happy school-year resident in cabin 5 from 1984 to 1987; in fact I spent the summer of '86 in Peter's cabin when he left for Europe. I enjoyed meeting and spending time with you and Jim. You were wonderful landlords and good people. I recall Jim trying to interest me in a building lot he had for sale in the town of Cottage Grove. When I married in 1988, we bought our first house on Busston Road in that very same subdivision, which you and Jim had developed apparently. I was sad when the cabins were torn down but that's progress. I am so sorry for your loss and will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Betty, I just found Jim's obituary today after googling your names to see if we could drop by sometime to catch up! (me and my two children, the older of whom you babysat when he was a little boy, now 15 and 9). You were landlords for me and my ex back in 1999-2001; I was in cottage #6 and it was a nice little 1-bedroom perfect to start my new life as a pharmacist! I was actually by there back in May 2018, right before Jim died, as I'm now a psychic reader and have taken on the name "Esther"! I had Matt take a pic of me on "Esther Beach" for a photo promotion for the network I currently do readings on. We'll also be stopping by there tomorrow for a fall version pic! I am not sure if you are still there but I thought i read an article about how you sold the cottages and converted it. We'll look when we come out!
Jim was blessed to get to live to 88 years. 88 is double the number of transformation and infinity, and I believe he's risen to eternal life. He had a wily, sarcastic but witty and friendly demeanor. I remembered him as the man behind the scenes always willing to let the tenants go out on the lovely pier to relax and enjoy the spectactular view you had on the shoreline.
Wishing you sincere condolences on your loss of Jim and you are in our thoughts and prayers. Heidi, Mathias and Danielle Timmerman
