Linda was my aunt and godmother. She was funny, generous, creative, and sometimes opinionated (I loved that trait). When I was young, she used to say, “You used to be cute; whatever happened?” I knew she was kidding. She liked to joke. Later, when we lived across from one another in an apartment complex, she’d babysit my two kids, and they loved her dearly and thought she was fun and funny, too.
She always loved animals, of all kinds. Years ago she had a gray cat named “Prince” who she generously fed. She and my mom took a trip to see Clydesdales, and more recently a gray, tabby cat named “Isabella (called Bella for short),” kept her company. Bella has stayed in the family and has been adopted by my sister. She also gave generously to many nonprofits supporting animals and their care.
While the last few months of Linda’s life were challenging and painful, both physically and emotionally, she remained courageous and brave. She cherished visits from friends and family, and appreciated all the help they and others provided. Many staff at Ingleside Manor, where she briefly lived while convalescing, commented on how nice she was. And she was. I'll always miss her.

Linda was a good sister. We had lots of fun when we got together; especially when 5 of us took mom to Ho Chunk to celebrate her 100th birthday. Every one of us went home a winner that day. If I recall, correctly, Linda won the most. I loved seeing her happy because she would show off that great smile of her's and here it is in this picture.
RIP dear sister. Love you!
