Jerry was a fantastic teacher, historian, Catholic, florist, gardener, friend, advisor, Husband and Father … and so much more., he dressed so classy….and I was honored to be a part of his life., he had a superb sense of humor and a kind heart, he will be missed, Mary Gallagher

It saddens me to hear of his passing. Mr. Hilliker was a wonderful teacher and with his method made history become real and memorable. When I would come home to visit my parents it was always a joy to see him at the Lucy’s.

I’m so saddened to hear this. I taught with Jerry at the MS in Lodi for many years. It was a privilege to work with him. I loved his endless energy, his passion for teaching, his many many stories, and his sense of humor. All of which brought me much laughter and many smiles. My children, when they were middle schoolers didn’t appreciate the daily grind of the homework…haha, but looking back now, they have good memories of his class because of who he was as a teacher. He brought so much life to his content area. They as well are sad to hear of his passing. He will forever be remembered with fondness. RIP Jerry. When Jerry first came to Lodi, I was one of his students his first year of teaching History. we all loved him them then and will always remember him with love in our hearts, what a guy! Jerry will be truly missed by many, RIP Mr. Hilliker 🙏🙏🙏🙏♥️♥️♥️
