Michael Bradley Tarkenton

MCFARLAND/OREGON- Michael Bradley Tarkenton, age 19, of McFarland, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at home. In his short life Michael brought so much joy to his family and friends. He was born on March 25, 1999, in Madison, Wis., the son of Brad Tarkenton and Debbie Bunbury. Michael graduated from McFarland High School, class of 2017. A sweet, loving and intensely private young man, he was full of potential and beginning his journey in life. He was developing his skills as a rap music artist and had created many of his own songs; though he told very few of his aspirations. His love of music was more commonly displayed through is expansive knowledge of artists and lyrics. He could name any song and sing along to anything. Michael is survived by his parents; brother, Alex (Devan Bertz) Tarkenton; nieces, Abilene and Lexie; paternal grandmother, Sharon Tarkenton; uncles, Brian Tarkenton, Brett (Amy) Tarkenton and Barry (Kristi) Tarkenton; cousins, Austin Tarkenton, Gerhick Tarkenton and Paul Tarkenton; maternal grandmother, Virginia Bunbury; aunt, Brenda (Jim) Bunbury-Carlson; uncle, Brian Bunbury; cousins, Danielle Dal Santo, Patrick Dal Santo, Annie Carlson, Tom Bunbury, Hannah Bunbury and Macallister Bunbury; special friend, Nick Winer; as well as many other loving friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Warren Tarkenton; maternal grandfather, Ronald Bunbury; two uncles, Bruce Tarkenton and Michael Bunbury; and two cousins, Cole P. Tarkenton and Dustin J. Tarkenton.  Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.  No words can express how much we will miss you.  Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1358 Hwy 51 at Jackson St., Stoughton, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2018, with Fr. Gary Wankerl presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
