Steven Scott Ringstad

MADISON-Steve Ringstad, age 52, passed away on April 1, 2018, at Agrace HospiceCare, surrounded by his family. He was born on December 2, 1965, in Madison, to LaVern and MaryLou (Andruss) Ringstad. Steve was a painter throughout his life. He enjoyed putting together model cars, and was a super fan of NASCAR. Steve also loved flipping old cars with his cousins and drinking beer. He always wanted to be around all his family. Steve was an incredibly outgoing person and always willing to help anyone who needed it. He was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed. He is survived by his sister, Bernadine (Jim Marks) Zimpel; nephews, Joe (Melanie) Puccio, Derek (Chastity) Puccio, and Jacob Marks; his nieces, Nicole (Justin) Schatzer, and Brandi (Omar) Marks; nephews, Ricky Ringstad, Scott Warnecke, Jimmy Warnecke, and Matthew Stroede; nieces, Tina Ringstad, Mindy Schultz, and Kari (Keith) Marks; his two aunts, Ginny Rios and Beverly Maier; best friend, Bill Briggs; and friend, Todd; as well as countless other cousins, relatives, and friends.   He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Vicki and Carol; his brother, Rick; grandparents, Ira and Vera Andruss, and Bernedene and Peter Ringstad; as well as many aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces, especially Camden, Little Rick, and Elizabeth. A Celebration of Life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREAMTION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr. Madison, at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.
