Oh how I loved my Uncle Rick! He was such a big influence in my life. He was bigger than life o me. When I was little I would just watch him as he and my mom would talk. He was fierce. I thought he was so tough and there was nothing he couldn't do. He was one of the amazing men in my life that made me feel so loved and protected. I loved him for that. He taught me so much. How to appreciate music is just one. I would sit and listen as he and my mom would talk about his stories of the adventures and I thought what an incredible life! So much fun, so much love and closeness. They were like two peas in a pod. How lucky to have that. But he also taught me how to be tough like him when I needed to be. I just adored him. I remember visiting one day and he asked me to come see his movies. He lead me to a bookcase full of westerns. Um, not my thing at all, but we sat and watched them for a few hours and I was just so happy to be by his side. He told me all about the actors, where the plot came from, what each scene would bring. Just everything. He really enjoyed those westerns! Such a dork and I loved him to the core. I will miss you Uncle Rick. Thank you so much for all you've given me, I have appreciated that. (HUGS) Give mom a hug for me!
