Obituary

MADISON- Karen L. Vieweger, age 60, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018, unexpectedly at her home. Karen was born Oct. 20, 1957, in Madison, to Raymond and Wilma (Genrich) Fadness. She graduated from LaFollette High School in 1975 and continued on to UW Steven’s Point where she obtained her degree in Wildlife Management. Karen worked for many years in the Dept. of Workforce Development in the Unemployment Insurance Division. She enjoyed the outdoors and could often be found on the back porch with a book and a cup of coffee. Karen was a loving mother to Brian and Tom and will  be deeply missed. She is survived by her two sons; her brother Jon Fadness; two sisters, Donna Fadness and Sandy (Wayne) Ross; numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; cousins; and her best friend, Jim Vieweger. Karen was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial gathering in Karen’s honor will be held at GUNDERSON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., on Wednesday, April 4, 2018.
