CROSS PLAINS - Lucille C. “Lu” Blythe, age 91, of Cross Plains, passed away on Monday, Aug. 9, 2021, at Ingleside Manor. She was born on Dec. 30, 1929, in Keewatin, Minn., the daughter of Dominic and Mary (Milani) Emanuel.
Lucille graduated from Keewatin High School. She was united in marriage to Thomas Blythe on June 29, 1957, in Milwaukee.
Lucille worked as an assembly worker and Union Steward for Masterlock for 39 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 245 and Masterlock retirees.
Lucille loved gardening, cooking, crocheting and bowling in her earlier years. She was an avid Buck’s fan and liked dancing to polka music. Lucille enjoyed spending time with her husband and dogs at their Lake Tomahawk, and then their Fox Lake cabin where they loved going on the pontoon with friends and dining at supper clubs.
Lucille is survived by her sisters, Mary Louise Muhar, Theresa Morris and Ellen Johnson; brothers, Dominic Emanuel Jr., James (Bee) Emanuel and Thomas (Darlene) Emanuel; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; parents; sister, Katherine (Gordon) Gustafson; brothers-in-law, Nick Muhar, William Morris and Irvin Johnson; and sister-in-law, Shirley Emanuel.
