Vera P. Lex

MONONA -Vera P. Lex, age 90, of Madison, passed away peacefully at Heritage Monona on Monday, March 5, 2018, with her husband at her side. She was born on January 4, 1928, in Milwaukee, Wis., the daughter of Jacob and Margaret (Andersek) Pucek. Vera married Norbert Lex on Dec. 5, 1988, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Milwaukee. She was an active member St. Dennis Catholic Church. Vera is survived by her husband, Norbert; her son, Thomas (Deanna) Allen, three daughters, Linda Hossman, Penny Mueller and Callie Slaski; seven step-children, Steve Lex, Bob (Cindy) Lex, Joan Nowak, Patti Newman, John (Mary) Lex, Brian (Vickie) Lex, and Tom (Karen) Lex; her daughter-in-law Linda Allen; 35 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Richard Allen; brother, Jack Pucek; sister, Betty Lex; daughter, Yvonne Boehm; and son, Mark Allen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Rd, Madison, at 12 noon, on Friday, March 9, 2018, with Father Randy Timmerman presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass on Friday. Entombment will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Milwaukee at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Vera’s name may be made to Agrace HospiceCare.
