Donald Everett Burnett

SUN PRAIRIE-Donald E. Burnett, age 87, of Sun Prairie, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Agrace HospiceCare. He was born on Jan. 28, 1931, in Jamestown, Ohio, the son of Everett and Etha (Miller) Burnett.  He fell in love and married Lilli Seipp while stationed in Germany on Nov. 12, 1955.  He proudly retired from the U.S. Army as a Master Sergeant, after 22 years of service, two tours in Vietnam, one in Korea, and was a member of the VFW.  Don’s wife and family were the loves of his life and he enjoyed playing an active role in the upbringing of his granddaughter and great-grandson.  He was a strong, honest, hard-working, patriotic man, patriarch of his small family unit and was a great role model to his children and grandchildren.  He was a lover of baseball and loyal fan of the Brewers and Packers.  He loved bowling, camping and traveling the U.S. and Europe.  Don is survived by his wife, Lilli; daughter, Michele Weber; granddaughter, Leslie Weber (Camron Pete); great-grandson, Peyton Pete; sisters, Phyllis, Sue and Linda; and brother, Wendell.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Michael; and daughter, Beate Caroline.  Don would have loved for you to join his family in a celebration of life which will be held in the community center of his residence, 900 Prairie Run, Sun Prairie, WI, from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2018.  Services with military honors will be held at ROSELAWN MEMORIAL PARK, at a date and time to be determined upon completion of construction of his niche.
