Obituary

DEFOREST- Dennis Arthur Haag, age 74, of DeForest, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 3, 2018. He was born in Milwaukee, on July 2, 1943, to Howard Arthur and Margaret Hoffmann Haag. Dennis was raised in Wauwatosa, the oldest of five siblings.  In his teenage years, Dennis loved music and dance.  He was a prodigy of the American Bandstand scene in Milwaukee.  Upon graduating from Wauwatosa High School in 1961, Dennis enlisted in the United States Army Reserve, where he served honorably for a period of seven years. He later attended the Milwaukee Institute of Technology. Dennis graduated in 1964, with a degree in electronics and worked a brief stint with Square D. He then entered into what would later become a long-standing career of over 42 years with the Sperry Corporation, excelling as a Customer Engineer.  Dennis was a pioneer in the computer industry by servicing the UNIVAC mainframe computers at the University of Wisconsin and Hospital system. His job was extremely demanding, often requiring numerous travel opportunities throughout the United States and abroad.  In his spare time, Dennis was an avid gardener and landscaper.  He also loved muscle cars and enjoyed tinkering with automotive repairs and renovations. Dennis is survived by his sons, Steven (Renate) Haag and James Haag (Becky Tygart); grandson, Brandon Haag; granddaughters, Sarah (Daniel) Carmichael and Katarina and Kristina Haag; brothers, Richard and Doug (Lani) Haag; sister, Kathy (Tim) Poulter; brother-in-law, Gary Branham; as well as many cousins and friends.  Funeral services for Dennis will be held at THE CHAPEL OF FLOWERS, WISCONSIN MEMORIAL PARK, 13235 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2018, with Pastor Tom Griffey presiding. Interment will follow in the park.  A time to visit with Dennis' family will be held at the chapel from 12 Noon until the time of the service on Saturday.
