Barb, it is with sorrow that I write these words. I I have done a very poor job in staying in contact with Zak. Our Christmas cards usually are just that, no notes. When I have called I always enjoyed some conversation with you too. Zak and I worked together more closely toward the end of his career. I always enjoyed him in a work setting and also in his retirement years. Yes, we usually talked a little about fishing and also of his woodworking projects. I feel badly that I did not do a better job of staying in touch these last years. Back in your Mequon years, we shared the same home builder, Don Summers. Zak and I started at Northwestern Mutual on the same day. He was one of my closest friends at the company. I shared his love of fishing and it was a popular topic when we ate lunch together which was often. I was very sad to hear of his passing. My condolences to Barb and the rest of his family.
