Obituary
OREGON-Harry M. Bambrough, age 90, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, after a hard battle with cancer. He was born on March 21, 1927, in Madison, the son of Morris and Myrtle Bambrough. Harry married Arvella Oleson on Sept. 28, 1946, in Reedsburg. He worked hard all of his life by building houses for family and a cabin, which the family really enjoyed. He also worked in masonry, laying black top, and delivering oil for Rasmussen Fuel in the winter. Harry is survived by his wife of 71 wonderful years, Arvella; three children, Ed (Mary); Debbie (Oscar) Evenson, and Steve (Linda); four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Genevieve Kiely. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jim, Bill and Robert; and sisters, Dolores and Darlene. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 am, on Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, with Rev. Paul Markquart presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. The family wishes to thank Agrace HospiceCare, Oregon Manor, St. John’s Lutheran Church and all of the doctors and nurses at St. Mary’s Hospital for their wonderful care.

Oh Uncle Harry.... I remember how you used to pick on us as kids and had that funny chuckle. I am so thankful that I got to sit and chat with you recently. We had such a nice visit. You told me how I shouldn't feel sorry for you - that you had lived a full life. I am so glad that you no longer have to suffer Uncle Harry. May you Rest in Peace like you deserve.
We will all miss you very much.

I will always remember you with that "little grin" and those "sparkling" blue eyes. We didn't see each other often in these later years, but I did see you "racing around" with that new lawn mower...and l hear they need a "lawn mower" where your at .....so keep it mowed.....until we meet again....at that Normington reunion.....

Dear Uncle Harry,
We chose the bright sunshine symbol because of the many days we spent at your home in Oregon, outside on beautiful sunlit days. Also, because, you always made us smile and laugh; the epitome of sunshine. We are grateful we could see you over your first weekend at Oregon Manor; where your smile and laughter were still shining. We can only imagine the tremendously warm welcome you received in Heaven. You had an amazing life. Now is the time to have an amazing life with God and all those who went before you. Truly, we wish you peace in your eternal rest.
