So sorry to hear of the death of Diane. She was a remarkable woman and a wonderful neighbor...plus a really great golfer. She will be missed. Leo and Lee Ann Cooper

I only have good memories of Diane, and so sorry that she has passed. Her attitude and strength throughout her ordeal has been inspiring. I will miss her wit, golfing prowess, and friendship. We go back a long way - early 1970's with Madison Municipal's Ladies Golf - and have shared a lot of days on the golf course. Rest in peace, Diane. You were one of the good ones. Diane was one of the relatively few women on the UW faculty I got to know when I first arrived in Madison. It was great to see her get tenure soon after I arrived -- she showed it could be done! Good conversations. Thank you. Gina Sapiro
