Robert N. Koskela

STOUGHTON-Robert “Bob” Koskela, age 75, of Stoughton, died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at Milestone Senior Living Residence in Stoughton. He was born April 21, 1942, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Elmer and Ina (Kaminen) Koskela. He married Ruth Breiby on Aug. 8, 1964, and enjoyed 53 years of marriage.  Bob graduated with a B.A. from Trinity College, Illinois and completed an M.A. and PhD. in adult education from UW-Madison. He worked for the Wisconsin Dept. of Health and Family Services as a training director and for Edgewood College in their administration program. He also had professorial roles at UW-Madison and Edgewood.  Bob and Ruth were charter members of Blackhawk EFC and later ordained at Nashota Seminary to become Episcopal priests.  Bob is survived by his wife, Ruth; grandson, Carson; two brothers and their wives; two brothers-in-law and wife; and other relatives.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and in 2002, his son, Tony.  A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 9, 2018.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice or Milestone Senior Living.  Bob was respected professionally and greatly loved by his family.  Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.   Gunderson East Funeral & Cremation Care 5203 Monona Dr. (608) 221-5420
