COTTAGE GROVE-Kaye M. Kwiecinski, age 91, of Cottage Grove, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, at Aster Assisted Living. She was born on June 27, 1926, in Madison, the daughter of Ervin and Rose (Petranek) Schuppener. She married Walter "Wally" Kwiecinski on Jan. 26, 1946, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Kaye and Wally resided in Madison before relocating to Longwood, Florida for 25 years. She then returned to Madison in 2012. Kaye was a Tupperware representative for many years. She took pride in her home, and enjoyed gardening, including taking care of the vegetation on the golf course. Kaye loved big band music, baking, spending time with family and friends, occasional trips to casinos and traveling with Wally. She was a member of the Madison Firefighters Union Local 311 Women's Auxiliary, St. Bernard Catholic Church and Annunciation Catholic Church, Longwood. Kaye is survived by her daughters, Sandra (Dennis) Weston and Diane (Patrick) Clementz; son, Edward (Jane) Kwiecinski; five granddaughters, Michelle (Rob) Mullinax, Mary (Brad) Koch, Ann (Shannon) Orr, Kelly Kwiecinski and Lisa Kwiecinski; two grandsons, Joseph (Brianna) Clementz and Michael (fiancé Caitlin) Clementz; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wally; parents; brother, Jim Schuppener; and great-grandson, Carter Patrick Clementz. A Funeral Mass will be held at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2450 Atwood Ave., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018. A private burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens later. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorials to the family for memorials to be determined. A special thank you to Aster Assisted Living in Cottage Grove and Agrace HospiceCare for their compassionate loving care. Thank you for all the love and laughter. Thank you for being one of my biggest cheerleaders - in sports, in choices, and in life. Thank you for memories of vanilla ice cream with Rice Krispies, and soda pop in real glass bottles. Your love is unconditional and sometimes you were unconventional, because you are one unique lady.

I remember visiting Aunt Kaye and Uncle Wally when I was a kid. Mom, Dad, and I would spend overnights at their house. I’m sorry that she has left you all. May you remember her in love and laughter.
