Karl and I shared a bond from High School and it lasted 40 years. He had this incredible sweetness even back then. And he was always absolutely hilarious! We had all of the usual places where we'd see each other -- Marshall Park, Bee's, Devil's Lake, Vilas, and the Rock (one great night we all built a huge bonfire and sat in a circle telling ghost stories). Later on we'd all meet at the Shuffle In or Monkeyshines or come to see Karl play with Kicks. Even after we moved away, we'd come back to visit and we would see Karl and our friendship continued. The last time I saw Karl was at a party at Meg's and he was so funny he made me laugh until it hurt.
I love you Karl and will always miss you and will remember the good man you were. Thanks for being such a good friend -- the type of friend who could make me laugh until I cried.
