MADISON/SUN PRAIRIE- Leland G. “Lee” Billings, age 83, of Sun Prairie, passed away peacefully at his home, on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018. He was born on June 7, 1934, in Madison, the son of Guerdon Billings and Helen (Smith) Billings. Lee was united in marriage to Louise (Movrich) Billings on Sept. 7, 1957, in Wakefield MI. He graduated from Madison East High School in 1952, and from there he went on to forge a successful career in finance management. Lee was dedicated and hardworking, after many years of service at First Wisconsin National Bank he happily retired in 1983. He was a clever card player, and always appreciated a great road trip and fishing outings. Lee will forever be remembered for his witty personality and his outstanding love and support for his children. Lee is survived by his daughters, Sharon Carroll, and Stacy Billings (Jim Mautz); son, Kevin Billings; grandchildren, Adam (Jenn) Billings, Cole (Kayla) Billings, and Taylor Mautz and Alissa Mautz; great-grandchildren, Noah Billings and Emma Billings; sister, Mary Billings; many nieces and nephews, who loved their “Uncle Squeak;” and daughter-in-law, Julie Billings. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Keith and Doug; and sisters, Virginia and Barb. In keeping with Lee’s wishes, no services will be held.
