Lynn Freimuth

MADISON-Marilynn L. "Lynn" Freimuth, age 70, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, at Aster Assisted Living. She was born on Aug. 11, 1947, in Sioux Falls, S.D., the daughter of Leo and Arlouine "Arlie" (Mahoney) Navin.  She married Bill Freimuth on June 1, 1968, in Sioux Falls.  Lynn was active in the Madison Christian Women's Group, serving as a prayer advisor and later guiding bible studies. This is where she grew in her faith and love of God. Lynn had a personal relationship with God through His son Jesus Christ, and her love of God and others was apparent to all who knew her.  She loved being with her family and friends, spending time at the lake house and celebrating her Irish heritage.  She loved dogs and shopping, and her children and grandchildren were her ultimate joy. Lynn lived her life with joy, laughter, and an unending sweetness. She had a warm and loving smile and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Lynn is survived by her husband Bill; daughters, Shauna (Bobby) Fischer and Kerri Ann Knight; son, Troy (Beth) Freimuth; her grandchildren, Kaitlin, Ashley, Anna, Will, Cecilia, Micah, Bodhi, and Gabe; her precious dog Savannah; nine siblings; and many other dear relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. PATRICK CATHOLIC CHURCH, 434 N. Main Street, Cottage Grove, at 11 a.m., on Friday, Jan. 26, 2018.  Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018, and also at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Friday.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Parkinson Foundation at www.parkinson.org/ways-to-give  or The National MS Society at www.nationalmssociety.org/donate.
