David James White

SUN PRAIRIE-David J. White, age 72, of Sun Prairie, passed away on Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, at Agrace HospiceCare. He was born on May 11, 1945, in Beaver Dam, the son of Ralph and Margaret White. He married Linda on Oct. 10, 1980, in Madison. David was a graduate of Beaver Dam High School and worked as a correctional officer before becoming a work release coordinator for the Dept. of Corrections. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards and gardening. David is survived by his wife; children, Doug McKay (Ann), Kerry Horton (Eddie), Michael (Sara), Jeremy, Corey (Samantha) and Julie Jenness (Brian Zeien); grandchildren, Jake, Kaley, Hannah, Alexander, Jaxon, Katrina, Emily, Adam, Zachary, Jonathon, Silas, Gabriel, Maxwell, Bradyn, Roman, Adaline, Ashley (Chris), Amber, Allie and Austin; and his brother, Jack (Mary). He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Nancy. A Funeral Service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drove, Madison, at 11 a.m., on Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, with the Rev. Jeff Vanden Heuvel of Messiah Lutheran Church presiding. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association or Agrace HospiceCare.
