POYNETTE-Brenda Rose (Beder) Glover, age 48, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, after a courageous, 17 month battle with Glioblastoma Multiform Stage IV cancer. She was born on Jan. 25, 1970, in Hartford, the daughter of George and Marie Beder. Brenda graduated from Slinger High School with the Class of 1988. She pursued a bachelor degree from UW-Milwaukee and then began an apprenticeship as a heavy equipment operator. This passion lead Brenda to a career of operating cranes as well as becoming a certified crane operator and inspector. She was a well-respected woman within a male dominated career. Brenda worked at J.H. Findorff & Son for over 20 years, working on projects such as Stillwater Bridge, Monona Terrace, Overture Center and other numerous construction projects throughout Madison. Over the years she made many lasting friendships. Brenda was a member of Badger Steam & Gas Club, Olbrich Gardens, the Hosta Society and a member of IUOE Local 139 Union for 24 years. Her hobbies included collecting Crawler Cranes, stamps, coins, rosaries and hostas. Brenda also created beautiful copper wire trees and turning unique wooden bowls. She is survived by her husband and soul mate, Craig Glover; mother, Marie (Gordon) Goodfellow; brothers, Rick (Lisa) Beder, Nick (Christyle) Beder, and Eric (Dawn) Beder; brother-in-law, Ryan (Ryan) Glover; aunts and uncles, Mary Beder, Agnes (George) Wagner, Godfather and uncle, Paul (Diana) Beder; Frank (Karen) Beder, Ed Flasch, Lawrence (Chris) Beder, Theresa (Charlie) Vogt, Claire (Mike) Nagel, Charles (Lucy) Tennies, William Tennies, Godmother and aunt, Rosie (Gary) Liethen, and Paul (Terri) Tennies; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, George Beder; father and mother-in-law, Gerard and Sandra Glover; grandparents, Alvin and Anita Beder, and John and Gertrude Tennies; uncle, John Beder; aunts, Sister Irene Beder OSF and Ruth Flasch. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at BLESSED TRINITY CATHOLIC PARISH AT ST. PATRICK’S CHURCH, 521 Fair St., Lodi, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Lodi. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON LODI FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 157 S. Main St., Lodi, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018, and at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Wednesday. I have many fond memories of Brenda growing up. Many sleep overs together, sewing and quilting times, and hanging out in school together. She will be truly missed. My prayers and condolences to the family.
