Richard Russell Rolli

MADISON-Richard R Rolli, age 86, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017, at Homestead Living. He was born on Feb. 27, 1931, in Middleton, the son of Alfred and Louise (Mellenberger) Rolli. He married Patricia Meylor on Sept. 3, 1956, in Darlington, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.  Richard worked as a truck driver for Humiston-Keeling Drug Company.  He was a very hard worker, and had great work ethic.  Richard loved family gatherings, taking his dog, Lucky on walks, spending time at the cabin up north, and annual trips to the Wisconsin Dells.  He also enjoyed fishing, campfires, swimming, and cheering on the Packers and Badgers.  Richard is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughters, Donna (Craig) Winter, Diane (Pat) Plunkett and Mary Swanson; son, Ronald (Lisa) Rolli; grandchildren, Angie (Jeff) Winter, Jeremy (Emily) Winter, Jamie (Peter) Gerard, Troy (Rachel) Rolli, Nick Rolli, Britney Plunkett, Ross Plunkett, Kyle Swanson and Mackenzie Swanson; great-grandchildren, Madison, Ayla, Kendall and Brayden; sisters-in-law, Norma Rolli, Marian Meylor, Sharon Meylor and Jean Rolli; brother-in-law, Jim Meylor; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and eight brothers and sisters.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2450 Atwood Avenue, Madison, at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday Jan. 6, 2018, with Father Michael Radowicz presiding. Burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Saturday.  Memorials may be made to Catholic Charities or to Agrace HospiceCare. A special thank you to the staff of Homestead Living and also to Agrace HospiceCare for all of their wonderful care given to Richard.
