Mary Lucille Schaefer

MADISON-Lucille M. Schaefer, age 90, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, in Sun Prairie.  Lucy, the daughter of Wallace and Hazel (Zimmerman) Kiely, was born on Nov. 7, 1927, in Brigham, Wisconsin. Lucy was a wonderful, loving, wife, mother and grandmother. She was an amazing cook and an even better baker. She was always very organized and strived for perfection. In her spare time, she loved to frequent garage sales, and always had a special project going, usually refinishing furniture for her family. Lucy is survived by her grandchildren, Cheryl Jorgensen, Tammy (Jason) McGill and Joseph (Amanda) Schaefer; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Jaclyn, Amber, Sairalyn, Maxwell, Elizabeth, Briana and Benjamin; her cousin, Carol Krueger; and her daughter-in-law, Suki Schaefer.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald J. Schaefer; daughter, Constance (Jorgenson) Schaefer; and son, Daniel Schaefer.  Private services will be held. The family would like to thank the staff of Sun Prairie Health Care Center for their extraordinary compassion and care of Lucy during her final days.
