Obituary

PRAIRE DU SAC-Larry Jack Lane, age 86, of Prairie Du Sac, passed away on Friday, December 22, in his home. He was born on May 26, 1931 in New Auburn, WI to Benjamin and Viola Lane. He was united in marriage to Arlene Pierce on May 19, 1951, until her death in 1983. Together they raised six children.    He became a laborer for Findorff, at an early age. He also worked for his brother-in-law, Frank Jiran Roofing.  He then started a roofing company, Lane Roofing, with his son Rick.  He was employed by Fobes Roofing, Lodi, where he retired from roofing.   He and his wife Arlene also operated several bars in the Village of Dane.    Larry was then united in marriage to Tina Heimbecker September 20, 1986. Not being one to sit still, he then began to dabble in many different business adventures. Selling sweetcorn, collecting aluminum and metal, rental property and a laundromat to name a few.   Larry especially loved his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. He had a great love for his many dogs, Bambi, Darcie, Susie and many others. Larry is survived by his wife Tina Lane. Six children, Rick(Vick) of Lodi, Andy(Ronnie) Wipperfurth of Dane, Steve(Sandy) of Poynette, Laurie (Ron Reigstad) of DeForest, Lisa(Dan) Millard of Downing, Cherie(Mike) Baird of Poynette, Step-daughter, Lori(Ron) Bozacki of Florida.  Larry had  22 Grandchildren, 34 Great-grandchildren.  Two sisters, Betty Peterson of Two Rivers and Leatrice Norwick of Pecatonica, Illinois. Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene, daughter-in-law, Karen, step-son, Chuck Heimbecker, three sisters and three brothers. A visitation will be held Thursday, December 28 at the Gunderson Funeral home in Lodi, WI from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Graveside rites will follow at the Blessed Trinity Catholic Cemetery in Dane, WI.  A Celebration of Life, will follow at KD's Bar & Grill in Lodi, WI with a luncheon  being served at this time.Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com. this was my great grandfather, he was always so cheerful and could lighten any situation. he was one of the greatest people i have ever met, and he will be missed dearly. i only wish i had a bit more time with him.

Rest In Peace Uncle Larry. You were a wonderful man. Prayers and comfort for those left behind as I know you are celebrating with our Lord and Savior but it’s hard to say goodbye for now.

Larry was always a man with a great smile and a awesome sense of humor that no matter what ,when or where he generated great friendships no matter who you were.i never forget about his generosity.he always will be in my thoughts!!!!

I have known Larry since I was twelve. He always made me laugh and brought a smile to my face. He was friendly, caring and a lovable person. Thinking of all of you with sympathy.
