Isabel M. Lomasney

MONONA -Isabel M. Lomasney, age 92, of Monona, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 12, 1925, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Charles and Gladys (Fader) MacLeod. She married Jerome Lomasney on Dec. 24, 1952. Isabel graduated from University of Chicago School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for Madison General Hospital and Attic Angels. Isabel was a loving and caring woman who was a friend to everyone and will be dearly missed. Isabel is survived by her sons, Robert (Sue) Lomasney, Edmond (Heidi) Lomasney and James Lomasney; daughter, Susan (Gregg) Sutherland; granddaughters, Casandra (Brad) Karl, Kathryn (Ari Kasper) Lomasney and Ellie (Greg) Roach; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerome; daughter, Ruth Lomasney; and sister, Catherine Lewis. Funeral services will be held at LAKEVIEW MORAVIAN CHURCH, 3565 Tulane Avenue, Madison, at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, with the Rev. Staci Marrese-Wheeler presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday. Burial will be held at RESURRECTION CEMETERY, 2705 Regent St. Madison, at 12 noon, on what would have been Isabel's 93rd Birthday, Saturday, May 12, 2018.
