MADISON-Diane L. Frailey, age 63, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017, at UW Hospital. She was born on Jan. 8, 1954, in Madison, the daughter of Charles and Lorraine "Babe" (DeVinck) Frailey. Diane had a variety of interests including listening to music, her favorites being Willie Nelson and The Rolling Stones, watching sports, especially the Packers and Badgers, and caring for her animal friends. In addition to her mother, Babe, survivors include her brother, William (Deborah) Frailey; sister, Teri (Jim Foley) Frailey; her partner in life, Ron "Buster" Blum; along with her niece, nephew and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Upton Frailey in 1994. Memorial services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017, with the Rev. Jeff Vanden Hueval presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin, giving the gift of sight. My deepest condolences to Diane's family and friends. I remember Diane from Lake Edge UCC and RJ's youth group events. Always fun to be around. I had the pleasure of working with Diane many years ago at the American Red Cross Blood Center. She was always helpful. Her sense of humor and great laugh made workdays good. My sympathy and prayers go out to all of her family and friends.

Even though we didn't see each other as much as we had, she always had a smile for me. Years ago when the Packers were losing all the time I was tending bar during the games and Diane made sure to let me know when it was worth stopping a moment and looking at the instant replay. She had great enthusiasm for the games and wanted me to share in that. She will be missed!
