Margaret Catherine Kalscheur

MONONA-Margaret Catherine Kalscheur, age 81, of Monona, passed away on Friday, Dec. 1, 2017.  She was born on Aug. 6, 1936, in Highland, Wis., the daughter of Edward and Marscleite (Williams) Fleming.  She married Richard James Kalscheur on Sept. 29, 1956.  To know Margaret was to love Margaret. With her fun-loving witty ways, she brought an abundance of happiness and laughter to anyone that knew her. Margaret’s greatest joy in life was being surrounded by her family and loved ones.  She was so proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Some of her best times were spent vacationing up north with her brothers and sisters. Her interests included cooking, arts and crafts and cruising the aisles at the Dollar Tree. She had a special knack for interior decorating, especially during the holidays. As with her home, Margaret effortlessly provided warmth and comfort to all of her loved ones and she will be missed beyond measure.  Margaret is survived by her husband of 61 years, Dick; their five children, Marcy (Harold) Tipler, James Kalscheur, Peter Kalscheur, Jill (Robert) Greytak and Kelly Kalscheur; grandkids, Brandie (Adam), Maggie (Nick), Jack, Lindsey (Kat), Alexa, Joshua, Taylor and Nicholas; great-grandkids, Zayden, Londyn, Colt, Cruz, Madisyn, Sophia and Grace; brothers and sisters, Sally (Dick) Christenson, Bob Fleming, John (LuAnn) Fleming, Jim (Joan) Fleming and Susie Oehrlein; sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Fleming, Jane Fleming, Caroline Fleming and Kathy Fleming; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Doyle Fleming, Gene Fleming and Dean Fleming; sisters, Mary Phelan and Ann Krause; brothers-in-law, Phil Phelan, Chuck Krause, Jim Oehrlein and John Robbins; sister-in-law, Sally Kalscheur; niece, Mary Ellen Robbins; and nephews, Wade Fleming, Steve Fleming and John Fleming.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield Street, Monona, at noon, on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017.  Burial will follow the service at Resurrection Cemetery with luncheon following at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Marian Hall.  Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., on Saturday.  Her family would like to thank Dr. Gina Utrie, her staff and also Agrace HospiceCare, especially her nurse, Nicole. We will always be grateful for her endless love, nurturing manner and devotion to us.
