Obituary
MADISON-Elliott E. Shuler, of Madison, Wis., died on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, at Agrace HospiceCare. He was the son of George P. Shuler and Charlotte I. Eveleigh, born on August 1, 1926 in Horton, Kansas. Elliott was preceded in death by Jeanne Wall Shuler, to whom he was married for many years. Elliott and Jeanne shared many interests during their time together, including golfing, boating and traveling, enjoying good times with friends and Jeanne’s family. Elliott was especially proud of his military service. He served in the United States Navy, from May of 1944 until his discharge on June 19, 1946. Shortly after his discharge, he began a long and distinguished career as an underwriter at American Family Insurance. Special thanks to staff at Agrace HospiceCare, for the wonderful care Elliott received there and for the dignity that they showed him during the last days of his life. I have so many fond memories of Jeanne and Elliott through my childhood, as the Shulers were chosen members of our family. They did so many great things for me and my sister, and also had a knack for finding just the right presents for us too. I cherish the memories of all the great trips our families took together.

I remember Elliott always with Jeanne. He was the director of life underwriting for American family insurance. In the 1960's he took me to the office. That office is a state of wisconsin building now. May your kindness be rewarded in the hereafter..
